Kirkmichael Community Shop and Cafe EPOS installation
No comments North & South Carrick
Kirkmichael Community Shop and Cafe provides a vital service for our rural village. Our idea is to install an Electronic Point of Sale System (EPOSS) in the community shop and cafe which will assist with community development of this village asset and improve our community space and facility for the residents in Kirkmichael. The beneficiaries will be both our community members and visitors to the village. This system will enhance the working environment for our staff and volunteers.

Stinchar Connections links people from Girvan, Pinmore, Pinwherry, Barrhill, Colmonell, Ballantrae, Lendalfoot and Barr by providing a timetabled service of buses in the local area. The Stinchar Connections Development Officer came into post in May 2025, and she is working to ensure transport meets the needs of people from the area. This funding will ensure further development, promotion and marketing of the project at a range of community events where Stinchar Connections will have a presence.
McCandlish Hall Community Storage
No comments North & South Carrick
Installing a built-in storage cupboard will improve our community space and facility by maximising the hall’s usable space by keeping equipment safely stored and reducing clutter, making the environment safer and more flexible for a wide range of community uses. This will also support community development. Beneficiaries will include all our current and future community groups. Volunteers and organisers will also benefit from easier setup and reduced workload.

BSL Cafe (British Sign Language)

This project will benefit the local community and surrounding area to introduce learners to sign language as well as current users being able to practice their language skill. As well as learning this could be a good opportunity to bring people together to support their general health and wellbeing and hopefully encourage them to become more involved in other things within the village.
