Troon Men's Shed are working on a Community Asset Transfer to acquire the former Hosiery Park Pavilion and to develop it as a Men's Shed to provide a meeting and activity space for men in Troon.

Installing patio furniture and planters will create a welcoming space for the sheltered housing residents, encouraging socialising, reducing isolation, and supporting wellbeing and community spirit.The residents of Morrison Gardens Sheltered Housing complex would like to improve the communal patio area by purchasing patio furniture and planters to create a more welcoming and accessible outdoor environment. Residents will be able to come together to relax, connect with others, and enjoy time out

The village hall is used by many different community groups. We desperately need some upgrades. This would help to improve and develop our volunteer run community asset, which sits at the heart of our village.

We are applying for £2000 to purchase a range of sensory equipment to run a sensory circuits group within Ayr Academy; including Yoga ball, Yoga mat, Trampette, Skipping Ropes, Balancing steps, Wobble Board, Bean Bags, Exercise Hoop, Weighted lap pad/blanket, Therapy Bands, rocking chair/hammock, Fidget toys, Sensory Lighting, Signage and Visual prompts, Timers etc.

Our “Get Support Now” banners would directly address Community Development by normalising unpaid carer identity and strengthening local networks; Adult & Family Learning through digital engagement and by linking carers to support and advice via the online services. Early self-identification and 24/7 support access will reduce isolation and crisis referrals, benefiting the estimated 1,200 unpaid carers in Prestwick & Villages (and their families), plus local health and social work/care services.

Connecting digitally will allow us to build a dynamic community - particularly in the school, community and family groups we work with, creating personalised resources to improve mental health and wellbeing.
