We are currently in the process of completing an extension build to our Clubhouse which will create a new kitchen, new gents toilet, disabled toilet and foyer. This is to create a larger space within the main hall to accommodate not only member requirements but to provide a larger space for community groups to use, which includes private functions.

This project will be delivered to residents of Maybole and surrounding villages. We have a lot of members from surrounding villages who no longer have a bowling club to join in their village. The premises is used on a regular basis by bowlers and non-bowlers alike. We also provide free coaching for young people every Wednesday which has proved very popular. : I believe that this project links into Priority 6 of the Maybole Action Plan. (Improve Leisure and Sports Facilities)

Age Concern Girvan (SCIO), is a local charity providing vital services to older people in Girvan. Our aim is to provide affordable, nutritious meals alongside welcoming social opportunities for people aged 55+ as well as anyone who may be isolated, vulnerable, or living on low incomes. The Broadway Cinema Experience

The Broadway is a case study in Place-Based Investment. The results of Prestwick’s place plan engagement report showed that ‘facilities and amenities’ and ‘identity and belonging’ were the two highest priorities. The Broadway project is aligned to both. The Visitor Experience is a direct answer to the need identified around local tourism opportunities ignored, celebration of local history and heritage, drop in space to accommodate small groups, and, most importantly, empty premises.
